Children’s Specialist for the Boston/Metro Region MCDHH is seeking a Children’s Specialist; someone who is committed, engaging, and collaborative within the region. The Children’s Specialist will work as a consultant to provide technical assistance, to represent and participate in early intervention (EI), education related committees, and various work groups. They will consult on individual education plans (IEPs), individual family service plans (IFSPs), and individual transition plans (ITPs). Occasionally they will consult with the Adult Service Navigator regarding services for hearing children of deaf or hard of hearing parents regarding issues that involve the development and or education of a hearing child. Last, guide and counsel parents to promote positive change on behalf of children and families. This position is a full-time position with benefits: paid sick vacation, health, insurance, and more.
