PARTICIPATE IN A RESEARCH STUDY FOR DEAF PEOPLE WITH POSTTRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER (PTSD) AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER (SUD)

WHO WE NEED:
• Deaf or hard-of-hearing
• American Sign Language user
• Age 18+
• Massachusetts resident
• Experiencing current symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance use disorder (SUD)
• Stable on any psychiatric medications
• Willing and able to attend weekly individual study sessions in Worcester
• Able to access a videophone
• 25 sessions of experimental therapy (1 hour, once per week)
• 6 assessment videophone calls across the course of the study (30 minutes)
• UMass Medical School, Worcester, MA
• Experimental therapy services at no cost to you
• $50 for completing all assessment interviews over the course of the study
