Alcoholics Anonymous
The following is a list of dates for Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) Meetings in Massachusetts which are accessible to the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community. If you are, or know someone who is, looking for an accessible meeting, please feel free to pass this list along. Anyone who wants to be added to this email can contact me and I will include them anonymously on future emails as well.
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA): Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
Please Note: Meetings marked with a (C) are considered “closed” therefore are: “for A.A. members only, or for those who have a drinking problem and ‘have a desire to stop drinking.’ ”
Otherwise, meetings listed here are considered “open” and therefore are: open for everyone including friends and families/acquaintances to provide support.

AL-Anon
The following is a list of dates for Al-Anon Meetings in Massachusetts which are accessible to the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community. If you are, or know someone who is, looking for an accessible meeting, please feel free to pass this list along. The primary purpose of Al-Anon is to help families and friends of alcoholics. Al-Anon’s program of recovery is based on the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions as adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous (AA).
All Al-Anon Family Group meetings welcome anyone who believes their life has been affected by someone else’s drinking, either today or in the past. An “open” Al-Anon meeting welcomes members and prospective members and allows attendance by people who are not families and friends of alcoholics but who are interested in learning about Al-Anon Family Groups., Al-Anon group meetings are “closed,” (C) , are limited to members and prospective members, giving them the freedom to share and listen to the experience, strength, and hope of one another on a confidential and anonymous basis.
Boston/Metro:

Narcotics Anonymous
The following is a list of dates for NA (Narcotics Anonymous) meetings in Massachusetts which are accessible to the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community. If you are, or know someone who is, looking for an accessible meeting, please feel free to pass this list along. Anyone who wants to be added to this email can contact me and I will include them anonymously on future emails as well.
Narcotics Anonymous is a worldwide fellowship of recovering addicts whose primary purpose is to help addicts stop using drugs by utilizing a twelve-step approach. NA is not a religious organization and does not require any particular belief system. It teaches basic spiritual principles such as honesty, open- mindedness, and willingness, to name a few. The specific practical application of these principles is determined by the individual member. NA members learn from one another how to live drug-free and recover from the effects of addiction.
