Announcement by Joe Toledo, MSAD Youth Chairperson (ASL version) and transcript: [Image description: A bearded man of Latino descent, brown hair and eyes wearing a dark navy blue shirt with MSAD interface sitting in living room with floral painting on back wall.] Hello everyone! How are you all? I’m Joe Toledo (sign name: Y at right-side forehead temple) from the Massachusetts State Association of the Deaf (MSAD) [points to his dark navy blue shirt that has MSAD information on it on the left side]. I’ve been on the board and they delegated an important role, I’ve become the chairperson for the newly established MSAD Youth Committee. I’m seriously looking for volunteers to join me and to make a last impact on the future of the youth. What are volunteers? They are people like you with busy schedules for work, school, families, leisure activities, etc.; I would like you to join me to contribute some of your value time to our cause in the Deaf Community. MSAD needs you! Please think about joining a meeting on Deaf youth developments and strategize to make future plans. We’ll have agendas full of what to do with Deaf youth involvement and related activities. This will be a memorable experience for all! Please consider making the time and make an investment to this volunteer work, like setting up a summer camp, Deaf Pageants, drama workshops, staged plays, Deaf Awareness Week events, etc. In the past, we used to have that but it folded for various reasons. MSAD is setting up these priorities again! The National Association for the Deaf (NAD) whom works for the Deaf Community nationwide near the Washington, D.C. area looks forward to our involvement to keep our Deaf youth engaged throughout New England. [Blue in bold text reads New England for the Deaf and Hard of hearing]. We’ve plans to set up Junior NAD. I need your involvement within this Deaf community focusing on our youth. Come on, join me; I need you to give up some of your valuable time and make an investment towards this cause or goal. How can you contact us to get involved? Contact MSAD at www.massdeaf.org or send an email to info@massdeaf.org and explain that you want to join our youth committee. And I will contact you back. Please join MSAD as a member. When you go to our website, we have lots of information for you’re to look at, considering joining us! [Text on video reads: JOIN US M.S.A.D. Membership] We’re looking forward to partnering with you to make a difference in the Deaf Community! Thank you for viewing this video! [Text: PLEASE SHARE, SHARE (video)
