FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TLC Opens Outpatient Clinic for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community Framingham, Mass., February 12, 2025 – Walden Community Services, the comprehensive Behavioral Health Program within The Learning Center for the Deaf, has announced a new Outpatient Clinic program for the broader Deaf and hard of hearing community.
The clinic provides psychotherapy services for both adults and children, conducted entirely in American Sign Language (ASL) by clinicians. Depending on client preference and need, sessions can be held in person or via Telehealth.
The clinic accepts a variety of MassHealth plans and commercial insurance to make services as accessible as possible.
Clinicians are trained in trauma-informed care and uphold a client-centered approach, meaning that we prioritize the needs, preferences, and autonomy of each individual. The clinic believes in collaboratively designing treatment plans with the client, one that includes achievable goals that the client is genuinely motivated to work on—goals that are meaningful to them, not dictated by the clinical team. Decisions and progress are made collaboratively between clinician and client.
