National Association of the Deaf (NAD)
The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) is a non-profit organization that advocates for the rights of deaf and hard of hearing people in the United States. The NAD was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1880 by deaf leaders who believed in the right of the deaf community to use sign language, have their interests represented, and congregate on issues that were important to them.
