H.126 An Act establishing the deaf children's bill of rights

The Joint Committee on Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities will conduct a hybrid public hearing, virtually and in B2, on Monday November 13, 2023, from 1PM to 5PM on Miscellaneous Items.

The public is invited to participate in this hearing. To sign up to provide oral testimony, please fill out this form. Sign-ups for oral testimony will close on Thursday, November 9 at 2pm, but same-day, in-person testimony will be accepted, time permitting. Please note, you will not be able to sign up for virtual testimony on the day of the hearingThe Chairs will limit testimony to 3 minutes per speaker and 6 minutes for a panel. 

There is no limit to the number of people permitted to be on a panel, although the Chairs do not recommend panels that are larger than 3 people. Please note, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to testify, each person is only permitted to testify once throughout the entirety of the hearingWritten testimony may be submitted to the Joint Committee via email to JointCommittee.Children&Families@malegislature.gov and will be accepted until the bill is acted upon.  

The bills will be heard in the order displayed on the hearing notice with House and Senate companion bills heard together. Please be advised that the schedule and agenda are subject to change at the discretion of the Chairs.
